Transcript of an oral history conducted via Zoom by archivist Julia Greider on September 13, 2021, with Booker DeVaughn. Dr. DeVaughn worked at Roxbury Community College from 1976-1985. During his time at RCC, Dr. DeVaughn served as Director of Continuing Education and Community Services, the Dean for Academic Affairs and Community Services, and Interim President. Dr. DeVaughn discusses the early development of RCC, the struggle to get an adequate college campus, the presidency of Ken Haskins, and early academic programs at RCC.
